Carlton is one of the most popular daffodils of all time - and for very good reason. This much-loved large-cupped daffodil produces bright yellow blooms with generous cups and boasts exceptional garden performance.

Renowned for its strength and reliability, Carlton is an excellent choice for naturalising, where it will spread happily and return year after year. Its sturdy stems and outstanding vase life also make it a fantastic cut flower, delivering classic spring colour indoors as well as in the garden.

First introduced many years ago, Carlton remains an oldie but a very goodie, trusted by gardeners worldwide.

Classification

Daffodils are among the showiest and easiest to grow of Spring flowering bulbs. Available in an incredible array of colours and shapes, they are ideal for the Spring flower garden. 

Prepare the soil deeply, mixing in compost, or our Bulb Fertilizer, preferably in a sunny, free draining position.

Daffodil bulbs are best planted in bold clumps, 8-10cm deep and 10-15cm apart.

If drainage is a problem, plant shallower, and mound 7-10cm of soil over the bulbs.
