Tulip Darwin Hybrid
Triple A
Tulip Triple A is an amazingly bright orange mixed in with a hint of yellow around the edges. Almost Apricot like.
Mid season flowering. 45cm tall, strong stems.
Darwin Tulips are the all-round toughest Tulip - by far the best choice for anyone new to gardening. They are tolerant of most climates, and tend to pop up nicely year after year.
There are hundreds of varieties of tulips, but Darwin hybrids have to be one of our faves! Large, delightful blooms in a myriad of colours and their sturdy stems stand up to wind and rain. These are one of the longer lived tulip varieties and are coveted as cut flowers
Tulips love colder climates, but also do incredibly well in warmer climates (even as far North as the Cape!) - if you don’t have a cold climate like ourselves, we recommend chilling your Tulip Bulbs for 6 to 8 weeks prior to planting. This will trick them into thinking they are having their Winter period, and prolong their stems and Flowering period.
