Howdy bulb lovers,
Summer bulb season is well and truly underway!
Our Dahlias have already been keeping us on our toes, and now the rest of our Summer goodies are joining the party too... Gladioli, Calla Lilies, Gloriosa, Begonias and plenty more.
All orders containing Summer bulbs are pre-orders. We’re still harvesting, curing, sorting, grading and counting everything before your wee box of goodies can head out the door... sometimes not so wee!
🌸 Placing a Summer bulb order now?
New pre-orders placed now are expected to dispatch around late September.
We already have many thousands of pre-orders in the queue, so although dispatch has now begun for some of our earliest Dahlia orders, we simply can’t get everything out at once.
Once dispatch gets into full swing, we’ll pump out around 300 to 400 orders every day, mostly in the order they were received.
The other curveball is that not every variety is harvested at the same time. If your order contains something that’s harvested later in the season, your whole order may head out a little later so everything can travel together.

Summer Bulb Pre-orders
Status: 🌸 Joining the dispatch queue
ETA: New pre-orders containing Dahlias, Gladioli, Callas, Gloriosa and other Summer bulbs are expected to dispatch around late September.
Edibles Only
Status: 🥔 Normal dispatch
ETA: Orders containing only edibles, such as seed potatoes or asparagus, will usually be packed and sent within a few working days.
Mixed Orders
Status: 📦 Held for Summer bulbs
ETA: If your order contains any Summer bulbs along with edibles, fertiliser, gloves or other goodies, the full order will usually be held and dispatched together once your bulbs are ready.
Non-bulb Goodies Only
Status: 🧤 Normal dispatch
ETA: Orders containing only fertiliser, gloves, soap or other non-bulb goodies will usually ship within a few working days.

Early Dahlia Pre-orders
Progress: 🚚 Dispatch is underway... yehaa!
So far: Around 2,000 Dahlia pre-orders have already been delivered... only another 7,500-ish to go 😂
What happens next: We’re dispatching the earliest Dahlia pre-orders now and will keep working through the queue at around 300 to 400 orders a day. Some varieties are still being harvested, cured, sorted and graded, so orders containing later varieties will follow as they become ready.

📦 A few handy notes
Once Summer bulb dispatch gets into full swing, we generally pump out around 300 to 400 orders every day.
Orders are packed mostly in the order they were received, but not every variety is harvested at the same time. If your order contains one of the later varieties, it may be pushed back slightly while we wait for that bulb or tuber to be ready.
We usually send each order in one box rather than splitting it into separate shipments. This keeps courier costs down and helps prevent parts of your order from going walkabout.
Remember: if your order contains even one Summer bulb, it will be treated as a pre-order. Orders containing only edibles and/or non-bulb goodies will usually head out within a few working days.
Once your goodies have been packed and booked with the courier, we’ll flick you an email with your tracking details.
