Flowering in mid spring, ‘Jan Bos’ grows to around 25 cm tall, making it ideal for the front of borders, mass planting, and containers near doorways where you can enjoy the perfume.

Planting and care

  • Position: full sun to part shade in well-drained soil

  • Planting depth: 8 to 10 cm

  • Spacing: 8 to 10 cm apart

  • After flowering: snip off spent flower spikes, but leave the foliage to feed the bulb for next season.

Great for pots, borders, and spring displays, Hyacinth ‘Jan Bos’ is an easy way to add vibrant colour and unforgettable fragrance to your garden.

Hyacinth bulbs are easily grown in pots, or in the garden – their delightful scent heralds that Spring has finally arrived!

Plant in a Sunny, well drained position – raise the beds if the soil is heavy or wet, and place the bulbs 8-10cm apart, 8-10cm deep.
