Full Sun to Part ShadeFreesia ‘Blue Heaven’ produces delicate, soft blue to mauve blooms with gentle lavender tones, creating a calm, pastel look in the garden. The flowers are beautifully fragrant and perfect for picking, bringing that classic freesia scent indoors.
This is a standout giant flowering freesia strain, producing large blooms on strong stems around 30 to 50 cm tall. It’s ideal for garden beds, borders, and pots, and is especially popular for cut flowers thanks to its perfume and vase life.
How to grow Freesia bulbs: Plant in a sunny, well-drained position with protection from heavy frosts. Plant bulbs 5 to 6 cm deep and 8 to 10 cm apart in well-worked soil. If you want to keep clumps neat and easy to lift, use a bulb protection basket placed just below the soil surface. For best results each season, feed with bulb fertiliser and keep an eye out for common pests and diseases.
Freesia Bulbs are easy to grow, and thrive in sunny, well drained positions, but need protection from frosts.
Plant your Freesia bulbs in well worked soil, 5-6cm deep and 8-10cm apart. To keep clumps together, why not use one of our bulb protection baskets and place it just below the surface of the soil.
