Daffodil Tazetta
Ariel
Paperwhite Ariel blooms early in the season and will yield 14-18 flowers per stem. These are a relatively new variety and but already proving to be a favourite around here!
Slightly shorter than other Paperwhites, but with extra strong stems, there's less chance of head-heavy flower stems angling sideways or flopping.
Very floriferous.
The scent is all paperwhite, strong and traditional.
Tazetta Narcissus (Daffodil) are very short-cupped, sweetly fragrant, mid-sized daffodils bearing loads of flowers (up to 20 per stem!)
Tazetta Daffodils have a very hardy growth habit and are suitable for nearly all NZ climates. They are good multipliers and are also strongly fragranced, adding this extra dimension to your garden or pot.
Daffodils are among the showiest and easiest to grow of Spring flowering bulbs. Available in an incredible array of colours and shapes, they are ideal for the Spring flower garden.
Prepare the soil deeply, mixing in compost, or our Bulb Fertilizer, preferably in a sunny, free draining position.
Daffodil bulbs are best planted in bold clumps, 8-10cm deep and 10-15cm apart.
If drainage is a problem, plant shallower, and mound 7-10cm of soil over the bulbs.
