Cheerfulness is a much-loved heirloom double daffodil — an old favourite that’s a new addition to the Bulbs Direct range. This elegant variety produces creamy white, rose-like double flowers, delicately flecked with soft yellow at the centre, creating a refined and timeless spring display.

Each stem carries 2–3 florets, adding extra fullness and impact, while a sweet, musky fragrance makes Cheerfulness especially appealing near paths, doors, or in cutting gardens. Flowering in the mid to late season, it’s an excellent choice for extending spring colour.

Reliable, easy to grow, and full of character, this heirloom beauty returns year after year with minimal care.

Daffodils are among the showiest and easiest to grow of Spring flowering bulbs. Available in an incredible array of colours and shapes, they are ideal for the Spring flower garden.

Prepare the soil deeply, mixing in compost, or our Bulb Fertilizer, preferably in a sunny, free draining position.

Daffodil bulbs are best planted in bold clumps, 8-10cm deep and 10-15cm apart.

If drainage is a problem, plant shallower, and mound 7-10cm of soil over the bulbs.
