Full Sun to Part ShadeOur Stockholm Freesia is characterized by its fiery, vibrant red flowers and contrasting yellow centre. The blooms are a deep, true red, creating a bold and striking visual impact in gardens and floral arrangements.
This outstanding strain of Giant flowering Freesias produces HUGE, heavenly-scented blooms in a stunning array of colours—30cm to 50cm high.
Freesia Bulbs are easy to grow, and thrive in sunny, well drained positions, but need protection from frosts.
Plant your Freesia bulbs in well worked soil, 5-6cm deep and 8-10cm apart. To keep clumps together, why not use one of our bulb protection baskets and place it just below the surface of the soil.
An occasional spraying of insecticide and fungicide is recommended to help control unwanted pests and diseases. For the absolute best results year after year, feed with our Bulb food fertilizer (alternatively a general purpose from you hardware store would suffice).
