Tulip Peony
Abba
Bold and beautiful! the long-lasting, large tomato-red blooms of Tulip 'Abba' resemble peonies with their double row of feathery petals surrounding a yellow heart.
Peony tulips have full, luxuriant blooms that resemble peonies - double the petals for double the beauty. They’re some of the latest tulip varieties to flower, opening fairly late in the Spring season.
As well as adding a touch of elegance to spring borders and containers, peony tulips make fantastic cut flowers.
Flowering Mid season. 30-40cm tall.
Tulips love colder climates, but also do incredibly well in warmer climates (even as far North as the Cape!) - if you don’t have a cold climate like ourselves, we recommend chilling your Tulip Bulbs for 6 to 8 weeks prior to planting. This will trick them into thinking they are having their Winter period, and prolong their stems and Flowering period.
