Part ShadeWhite Ranunculus is a classic favourite, producing pure, luminous white blooms that range from crisp snow-white to soft creamy tones. With ruffled, rose-like petals and a timeless look, it’s perfect for brightening garden beds and pots, and it’s a premium choice for wedding flowers and elegant bouquets thanks to its excellent vase life.
Ranunculus are among the showiest spring flowering bulbs, blooming for weeks and producing 4 to 6 cm flowers on strong 30 to 50 cm stems, making them ideal for cutting. Also known as Persian buttercups, they’re great value and surprisingly easy to grow, rewarding you with a long flowering season in borders, containers, and balcony planters.
Prior to planting, we recommend chilling your Ranunculus corms in the paper bag they arrived in, for around 3-5 weeks. This will give them a good kick start.
Ranunculus are best planted in full Sun, or a semi shaded position, and are well suited for pots. Semi shade will help to lengthen their stems.
