Full Sun to Part ShadeFreesia ‘Blue Navy’ produces delicate blue-purple blooms in a soft pastel shade, adding an elegant, calming tone to spring garden displays. Beautifully fragrant and long-lasting, it’s also a favourite for cut flowers, bringing colour and classic freesia scent indoors.
This premium giant flowering freesia strain produces large, heavily perfumed blooms on strong stems around 30 to 50 cm tall. It’s ideal for borders and pots, especially when planted in groups for the best impact.
How to grow Freesia bulbs: Plant in a sunny, well-drained position with protection from heavy frosts. Plant bulbs 5 to 6 cm deep and 8 to 10 cm apart in well-worked soil. For tidy clumps and easy lifting, use a bulb protection basket placed just below the soil surface. Feed for best results each season and keep an eye out for common pests and diseases.
Freesia Bulbs are easy to grow, and thrive in sunny, well drained positions, but need protection from frosts.
Plant your Freesia bulbs in well worked soil, 5-6cm deep and 8-10cm apart. To keep clumps together, why not use one of our bulb protection baskets and place it just below the surface of the soil.
