Anemone
Blanda Blue Meadow
Anemone blanda ‘Blue Meadow’ (Grecian Windflower) produces cheerful, daisy-like flowers in hyacinth-blue shades with bright yellow centres. The blooms sit on fine, wiry stems above fern-like foliage, creating a light, natural look that’s perfect for late winter to early spring colour.
A fantastic value option that’s incredibly easy to grow, Anemone blanda will gradually spread and form a low carpet as it self-seeds. It’s ideal for woodland gardens, under deciduous trees and shrubs, or planted through mixed borders with other early spring bulbs. It also provides an important early source of nectar for pollinators when little else is flowering.
For the longest display, plant in drifts and stagger your planting for months of flowers with minimal effort.
Anemones (also known as Windflowers) are one of the best-bang-for-your-buck varieties. One of the easiest ways to add colour and beauty to your Spring garden. Simple to grow, and incredibly floriferous.
These tiny little Rhizomes pack a real punch! Anemones are fantastic planted in mass, and make a great cut flower. To prolong your display, they can be stagger planted.
