Part ShadeRanunculus are among the showiest spring flowering bulbs, blooming for weeks and producing a beautiful display of 4 to 6 cm flowers in a wide range of colours including red, rose, gold, lemon, yellow and white. Strong 30 to 50 cm stems make them ideal for both garden displays and cutting.
Also known as Persian buttercups, ranunculus are great value and surprisingly easy to grow. Their long flowering season makes them a perfect addition to garden beds, borders, pots, and balcony planters.
Prior to planting, we recommend chilling your Ranunculus corms in the paper bag they arrived in, for around 3-5 weeks. This will give them a good kick start.
Ranunculus are best planted in full Sun, or a semi shaded position, and are well suited for pots. Semi shade will help to lengthen their stems.
