8-10cm Daffodil Magic Charm is a beautiful large-cupped daffodil with crisp white petals and a striking coral-red cup that gives it a lovely soft but showy look in the garden.
A late flowering variety, Magic Charm is a great one for stretching out the daffodil display once some of the earlier varieties have done their dash. It sits at a good garden height of around 40-50cm, making it easy to tuck through borders, mass plant in drifts, or pick for a vase.
Magic Charm as a 2 W-R daffodil, meaning it is a Division 2 Large Cupped variety with a white perianth and red cup. It was introduced in 2000 by Richard and Elise Havens / Grant Mitsch, with blooms around 110mm across.
Daffodils are among the showiest and easiest to grow of Spring flowering bulbs. Available in an incredible array of colours and shapes, they are ideal for the Spring flower garden.
Prepare the soil deeply, mixing in compost, or our Bulb Fertilizer, preferably in a sunny, free draining position.
Daffodil bulbs are best planted in bold clumps, 8-10cm deep and 10-15cm apart.
If drainage is a problem, plant shallower, and mound 7-10cm of soil over the bulbs.
