8-10cm Daffodil Magic Charm is a beautiful large-cupped daffodil with crisp white petals and a striking coral-red cup that gives it a lovely soft but showy look in the garden.
A late flowering variety, Magic Charm is a great one for stretching out the daffodil display once some of the earlier varieties have done their dash. It sits at a good garden height of around 40-50cm, making it easy to tuck through borders, mass plant in drifts, or pick for a vase.
Magic Charm as a 2 W-R daffodil, meaning it is a Division 2 Large Cupped variety with a white perianth and red cup. It was introduced in 2000 by Richard and Elise Havens / Grant Mitsch, with blooms around 110mm across.
Daffodils are amongΒ the showiest andΒ easiest to grow ofΒ Spring floweringΒ bulbs. Available inΒ an incredible arrayΒ of colours andΒ shapes, they areΒ ideal for the Spring flower garden.Β
Prepare the soilΒ deeply, mixing inΒ compost, or ourΒ Bulb Fertilizer, preferably in aΒ sunny, free drainingΒ position.
DaffodilΒ bulbs are bestΒ planted in bold clumps, 8-10cmΒ deep and 10-15cmΒ apart.
If drainageΒ is a problem, plantΒ shallower, andΒ mound 7-10cm ofΒ soil over the bulbs.
