Monal is a stunning large-cupped daffodil renowned for its golden-yellow petals and large, rounded cups in brilliant reddish-orange tones. One of the earliest and most colourful yellow-and-orange daffodils, Monal often reaches full bloom while other varieties are only just beginning to show their buds.

Flowering very early in the season, Monal produces its vibrant blooms on strong stems reaching 45–50cm, making it a standout choice for both garden displays and cut flower arrangements. Its bold colour contrast makes it especially effective when planted in generous groups.

Easy to grow and reliably perennial, this variety brings vibrant colour to the garden right at the start of spring.

Daffodils are among the showiest and easiest to grow of Spring flowering bulbs. Available in an incredible array of colours and shapes, they are ideal for the Spring flower garden.

Prepare the soil deeply, mixing in compost, or our Bulb Fertilizer, preferably in a sunny, free draining position.

Daffodil bulbs are best planted in bold clumps, 8-10cm deep and 10-15cm apart.

If drainage is a problem, plant shallower, and mound 7-10cm of soil over the bulbs.
