Daffodil ‘Recurvus’ (Narcissus poeticus var. recurvus) is a timeless late-season poeticus daffodil, treasured for its elegant form and sweet fragrance. Each stem carries a single, refined bloom with crisp white petals that gently reflex backwards, framing a small golden cup delicately edged with a fine red rim — a look that is both classic and striking.

Flowering late in the season, Recurvus is a brilliant naturaliser, returning reliably year after year. It is especially effective planted in generous drifts through lawns, under deciduous trees, or along garden edges, where its graceful flowers create a meadow-like effect.

Recurvus is also an excellent cut flower, with a lovely perfume best enjoyed up close, making it a favourite for late spring arrangements.

Daffodils are among the showiest and easiest to grow of Spring flowering bulbs. Available in an incredible array of colours and shapes, they are ideal for the Spring flower garden.

Prepare the soil deeply, mixing in compost, or our Bulb Fertilizer, preferably in a sunny, free draining position.

Daffodil bulbs are best planted in bold clumps, 8-10cm deep and 10-15cm apart.

If drainage is a problem, plant shallower, and mound 7-10cm of soil over the bulbs.
