Dutch Iris
Red Ember
Dutch Iris ‘Red Ember’ is a real favourite for bold, smoky colour late in the season. It features deep purple standards and rich mahogany-gold falls, with coppery tones and contrasting yellow blotches that give the blooms a fiery, dramatic look. A big-impact bloomer, it flowers fairly late compared with many other Dutch iris, making it ideal for extending spring colour in the garden and the vase.
Dutch iris are highly valued as cut flowers and they bloom after most daffodils and tulips have finished. Very hardy and easy to grow, each bulb typically produces 1 to 2 stems, with 1 to 2 flowers per stem.
