Tulip Peony
Orange Princess
Warm orange blooms open up to reveal a bronze tint as Tulipa ‘Orange Princess’ matures. Its foliage is a grey-green, with white margins.
Flowering mid/late season. 30-40cm tall.
Peony tulips have full, luxuriant blooms that resemble peonies - double the petals for double the beauty. They’re some of the latest tulip varieties to flower, opening fairly late in the Spring season.
As well as adding a touch of elegance to spring borders and containers, peony tulips make fantastic cut flowers.
Tulips love colder climates, but also do incredibly well in warmer climates (even as far North as the Cape!) - if you don’t have a cold climate like ourselves, we recommend chilling your Tulip Bulbs for 6 to 8 weeks prior to planting. This will trick them into thinking they are having their Winter period, and prolong their stems and Flowering period.
