Begonia Frilled
Blaze of Fire
Our Blaze of Fire Begonia is known for its vibrant, fiery red flowers that stand out brilliantly. The blooms have a bold, intense colour that adds a dramatic touch to any garden or indoor arrangement.
Frilled Begonias are similar to the Camellia type but for their lovely frilled edges and provide a remarkable combination when planted together. A rewarding plant, they prefer a sunny or partly shaded spot. Begonias are just as easily grown indoors as out and will produce masses of colour with very little effort.
Tip: Pluck off any single flowers to encourage the large double flowers to come out, and keep in mind that Begonias are frost sensitive, so be sure to plant after the frosts have passed sure to plant after the frosts have passed.
Begonias should be planted in late Winter/Early Spring.
Find a nice, well drained spot for your tubers - Begonias don't like too much sun, so the hotter your region, the less sun they need! (if planting in pots indoors, ensure that they have access to a bit of light, but not full sun)
Plant the tubers around 3cm below the surface of the soil, ensuring the indented side of the tuber is facing up.
