We’re absolutely thrilled to finally share Pink Whisper with you... a stunning new Calla that’s been quietly growing in our fields for years. After plenty of patience (and a fair bit of excitement behind the scenes), we’ve finally built up enough stock to release it for the very first time.
Pink Whisper shows off soft blush-pink blooms that almost seem to glow in the garden. Standing tall at 60–70 cm, it produces strong, straight stems that make it a fantastic cut flower, lasting beautifully in the vase.
Originally known around here as BD-PU51 (catchy, right?), this one quickly earned its gentler name for the way its colour whispers rather than shouts. Elegant, reliable, and full of charm... Pink Whisper has been worth the wait.
Callas are amazing in pots for adding colour to your Patio, conservatory, or simply to spruce up the garden!
You should plant your Calla bulbs from September on-wards (if planting straight into the garden), however it is possible to plant earlier if potted up in a nice warm sunny spot.
Plant your bulbs 5-10cm deep, and at least 10 cm apart in free draining soil.
Callas like semi-shade to full sun, so hunt out that perfect sunny spot where all can see!.
We recommend sprinkling a handful of general purpose low nitrogen fertilizer after planting, to really pamper those blooms!
